Working with Inspired People

Registering with IP

Upon being successful at interview you will be emailed a link to our website to register your details, if you do not receive this then you can go to our website www.inspiredpeople.org and navigate to the fundraiser area where you will find the
new starter form.

In order to complete this, you will need your bank details and the contact details of 2 referees, these should be previous employers or if you have been studying, the name of your tutors.

Please ensure you complete the information accurately as once you have submitted the form it gets downloaded directly into our payroll system, and if the bank details are incorrect, your first weeks pay could disappear into a different bank account and we would be unable to get it back!

When the online form is submitted you will be emailed your contract which you should read carefully, if you do not receive this then please contact us.

Documents required

When you attend training on your first day you will be required to bring along proof of your right to work in the UK, this normally takes the form of a passport, full birth certificate or work visa. Unfortunately a driving license is not acceptable as proof of the right to work in the UK. You will also need to provide evidence that you have completed the online New Starter Form, this would be in the form of a copy of the email that you receive from us or you can just show it on your phone or mobile device.

Whsitleblowing

Inspired People and our partners are committed to the highest standards of quality and if you feel that you see others not upholding these standards then you can request a copy of our whistleblowing policy in complete confidence by emailing
payroll (details below).

Contacts

If you have a payroll query, you can call our payroll department on 01275 370320 or email payroll@inspiredpeople.org

Any other issues, call the same number 01275 370320 and we will deal with your query.

How you are paid

You work a week in hand, which means that the first week you work will be paid on the following Friday. Inspired People pay you by BACS into your bank account on the following Friday that you have worked.

The money normally clears overnight on the Thursday, however sometimes things happen out of our control and the money may not be in your bank first thing on a Friday. If this happens, you should initially call your bank as they can see if a payment is due to be credited to your account. If the payment is not due to be credited then call our payroll department who will look into it for you.

Your payslip will be sent to you on Wednesday evening via the email address you gave us, to access your payslip you will need your National Insurance number as a password. The first payslip you receive may go into your Junk Mail folder so please check in there before calling us.

Timesheets

Your timesheets will be completed by your team leader and then sent to Inspired People at the start of the following week you work, you should keep a record of your hours in case there are any discrepancies.

Holiday Pay

The holiday year runs from April to March and you accrue money for every hour that you work. The amount of your holiday fund will be detailed on your payslip, this can be claimed by emailing payroll or contacting your manager requesting the amount you require. We need this request close of business on the Monday to be paid on the Friday.

Our commitment

We try and be perfect but sometimes we make mistakes, however we are very good at rectifying our mistakes and if your pay is in-correct due to an Inspired People error we commit to paying you by the end of the day on Friday.

Absence

If you are going to be absent from work then please contact your team leader in the first instance, if you cannot get hold of your team leader then call the IP office and let us know.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about IP or your assignment then in the first instance please contact the office on 01275 370320, we will then take your details in confidence and send you a copy of our complaints procedure. We will then investigate your complaint.

Leaving IP or finishing an assignment

In order for us to pay your final pay and release any holiday pay that you may have outstanding we need to know if you have left. You can call into the payroll team or email them on payroll@inspiredpeople.org and they will process your final pay and issue your P45. If you do not contact us and inform us you have left, then you may be taxed extra on your final pay if you have started work elsewhere.

If you have been allocated property (IPad, clothing, floats, etc) on your assignment we will need all of this back before we can release your final pay. If you withhold items you may not receive your final pay and in some instances legal action has been taken to return the items to the charity.
